Graphs

First, here are some methods of graphing linear functions. Basically all linear equations can be rearranged into any of these forms (with just a few exceptions).

Technically, x=5 isn't a "function" because it has multiple y values for a single x value.

Ways to graph parabolas.

In the following worksheet/puzzle, you have to match the graphs to their equations. Draw a straight line between the corresponding dots. Circle any letters the line goes through. Once this is done, read all the circled letters from top to bottom, left to right.

Now, in this one, you have to find the formulas for all the lines in the form y=mx+b. So really that means you just have to find the gradient and the y-intercept. Then look up the corresponding letters and fill them in.

Here you have to link the equations of the lines with the points. Bear in mind, more than one point can be on a line and more than one line can go through a point... This is more coordinate geometry than graphing but is a related skill. Drawing graphs might actually help especially if you use a program to do it.
